CyberLink Power2Go Overview
There are no reasons to say that CyberLink Power2Go's user interface is not straightforward. You will like the DVD burning tool which has a drag-and-drop interface and can be found in the Windows Sidebar. Though it is only useful for creating exact DVD copies, it is easy and quick for making DVD backup literally on the fly.
The program's dashboard is really intuitive so no problems will appear when you'll need to make an image of a DVD and then make a DVD back from it.
Test burns show that Power2Go makes DVD copies indistinguishable from its originals, and it is really simple and easy. Sadly, the program doesn't have tools to convert movies, so creating AVI/MOV/DivX-files from DVD is possible only with third-party software.
Power2Go's feature of auto scaling can shrink a video to any size, which will be useful if you have a limited space disc. But users should be careful with it as shrinking the video too much will result in a low res and thus unwatchable video.
If you'll face some technical issues while using CyberLink's Power2Go, there are software tickets and forums that can help you. Phone support is also available for something like $15/month. "Software FAQ" document is available for $15. If you'll face some specific problems, it will obviously be better to search for help for free on user forums.
Conclusion
CyberLink's Power2Go is a fine DVD ripper, though it doesn't have some necessary ripping features. Also taking into account paid customer support, people usually don't rank this program high enough. But still it's a nice solution for Blu-ray and DVD burning and ripping with solid multimedia features, so many users will find it useful enough for managing their media library and Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs.
